Music

Students in Middle School can elect to take Music Appreciation. This course will begin with music history from the Baroque period into the Classical. Students will review Strategies for listening to music including analysis and focused listening, and apply it to modern day music listening and enjoyment. Students will to end with a creative project in which we will apply all we have learned in the form of composition and artistic expression.

Students in grades K-3 through 5th grade take General Music. Students explore rhythm, rhythmic movement, such as stomp, musical notation, and structure. Students work towards a performance in person or recorded to be held later in the year.
